Blueberry Protein Shake - Recipe

Icy Blueberry Protein Shake
Rapidly melting

What you see in the photo above is my delicious, icy protein shake, rapidly melting as I'm trying to get a photo before the spoon sinks to the bottom of the glass!

Blueberry Protein Shake - Recipe:

1 c. unsweetened almond milk, original (not vanilla)
1 level scoop of Metabolic Drive Vanilla Protein Powder (whey - the best I've found)
1/2 c. frozen blueberries
1/2 c. crushed ice

Pulse for a minute, then blend until uniform.

Put a sweater on and drink in an air-conditioned room OR
Sit outdoors in a warm summer breeze and enjoy!

As you can see, I sat outdoors.
By the time I had taken my photos, I had to drink a little of the shake just to rescue my spoon.

I've substituted frozen strawberries, but I like the more intense flavor of the blueberries. It's a delicious shake, and it only takes about a minute to make!

Sounds like a favorite to me although I will probably use soy milk since it has more protein.

Thanks so much for your sweet comments. I really enjoyed looking through your blogs, and I am your new follower.

Yesterday I had the second of two eye surgeries, and this one is giving me fits. When I can see better I will come back and look through again. That photo of the dog is adorable!
