England Green - Anglophile Friday

Mama and Baby
Embsay

As St. Patrick's Day is coming right up, I thought I'd post a few photos of Ireland England's green. All of these photos were taken in March, when the tourists are few and the green and flowers are just beginning.

And, as usual, keeping an eye on airfare - because, as we all know, yesterday's post was just a dream, not a reality. But still, if airfare were no object...  (If you missed that post, be sure to stop in and tell us where you'd like to travel - and I'll even throw in teleporting for those of you who hate to fly.)

Gorgeous pictures... and I'm sure with as much white as you all have been having, these pictures would make you long to be anywhere green :)

Lovely...those daffodils are positively glorious, which reminds me that I might like to visit Holland. Thanks for tossing in teleporting because it is the only way I'm traveling. Sounds as if you are eager to be "on the road again."

I still have my dream of going to Poland and I would love to visit York again one day. There were so many daffodils that I thought they grew wild in Yorkshire and Wales.

Wow, on the day you published this post, I was leaving for home from Kettlewell. On one of the afternoons I had planned to see the interior of Skipton Castle following your inspiration but when I got to the car park near the canal, a friend wanted to speak to me on the phone ... turned into just under an hour. Consequently I wanted to improve on my Skipton canal blog post of a few years ago as the sun and light were fantastic. By the time I made it to the top of the street, I was nearly out of time and the sun was low with difficult shadows and an impending evening meal. Another time I have to say once again ... these opportunities don't crop up too often.
