I don't remember name brands either, and we did go shopping mainly right before school for new shoes and an outfit or two, but most were handed down from my older sister, and from me to my younger sister. I'm wondering if we had church shoes, it seems extravagant as I think on it, but I think we did, and especially fun was when they were patent leather. I did not have a book bag. Did you go on a bus to school?
