It goes slowly...The London Eye is NOT scary at all. It goes slowly enough so that it never has to stop to let people on and off as it makes its appx. 30 minute revolution. It's like standing in a glass living room with 24 other people - and completely roomy enough to move from one side to the other when you want to change views. I'd consider it a 'must-do' at least once.<br /><br />What I can't get over are the first people who boarded the Ferris Wheel at the Columbia Exposition in Chicago in 1893! Now <i>that</i> would have been scary!<br /><br />Yes, Heide, I have read 84 Charing Cross Road. Funny thing, I first wrote 64, then went back and saw that you had written 34. Then I looked it up to find that it is actually 84!! Good thing we weren't trying to find it, huh!
