Big Dog on the Deck
Bridger, covered in long hair, does not like a toasty warm house. He'd much rather be outdoors, lying in the snow. Winter is his favorite time of year.
Cooling off
Now that his little pal Jazzie (the grandpuppy) has gone home, Bridger's been telling me how bored he is.
...except when playing in the snow
It's what happens when the humans grow up and leave home.
;-)
He looks like he's in his element, just chilling in the snow. Cute. :)
ReplyDeleteYour dog is so cute. My dog likes the snow but we put little boots on her because once the ice forms between her toes she won't put her feet down. It's hilarious!
ReplyDeleteWe had snow in Little Rock yesterday morning when we awoke! It was beautiful, fun for the kids, and short-lived. Just the kind of snow I like. None forecast again any time soon. The way I like it, too, although it's cold--upper 20's to upper 40's. Brrr.....
ReplyDeleteHe looks very happy in the snow.He is a beautiful dog.... We haven't gotten any snow yet in Iowa. It will come eventually, I'm sure. =)
ReplyDeleteBridger gives meaning to "chillin" Personally, I would rather be in front of a nice warm fire.
ReplyDeleteWe got a bit of snow yesterday! LOVE IT! Hope his buddy comes home to visit soon so nobody will be lonely!
ReplyDeleteBridger is definitely "dressed" for the cold weather. Glad someone is enjoying snow!
ReplyDeleteYour dog is beautiful, reminds of our Saint when we lived in Colorado.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun post! We had our Sadie (a Saint Bernard) for 12 wonderful years when the kids were all growing up and she did the exact same thing. She loved it out in the snow, but I always got worried about her and would have to bribe her with cookies to get her to come in. By the way, she also loved to sleep on her back in the bathtub where it was cool!
ReplyDeleteHe looks very happy.
ReplyDeleteHe is a smart dog! I love winter too! :-)
ReplyDeleteWe need more snow for Bridger to play in and for me to ski on.
Great pictures! I guess I have to admit that if I had hair like that I would probably love the winter too! :)
ReplyDeletePicked up your blog from a picture of Ripon Cathedral!

Dogs are so funny! Kerri is like that too, once the cool weather hits she has twice as much energy! Haven't had our first snow fall yet. Kerri gets so excited, we get excited too! She races around like a jack rabbit. lol!
ReplyDeleteBridger looks like a dog of great character, I'm sure he'll love sitting by the fire later.
ReplyDeleteHi Judy. What a sweetie your Bridger is! My sil used to have a dog very similar to yours and he spent the entire summer laying right on top of the air conditioner vent in the floor! We're in NC, but my husband was born in Kenosha and raised in Racine. I just took my first trip to your beautiful state this past summer and fell in love!
