Who Am I ?

Who am I, that the Lord of all the earth
Would care to know my name
Would care to feel my hurt
Who am I, that the Bright and Morning Star
Would choose to light the way
For my ever wandering heart

Not because of who I am

But because of what You've done
Not because of what I've done
But because of who You are

I am a flower quickly fading

Here today and gone tomorrow
A wave tossed in the ocean
Vapor in the wind
Still You hear me when I'm calling
Lord, You catch me when I'm falling
And You've told me who I am
I am Yours, I am Yours

Who am I, that the eyes that see my sin
Would look on me with love and watch me rise again
Who am I, that the voice that calmed the sea
Would call out through the rain
And calm the storm in me

Not because of who I am
But because of what You've done
Not because of what I've done
But because of who You are

I am a flower quickly fading
Here today and gone tomorrow
A wave tossed in the ocean
Vapor in the wind
Still You hear me when I'm calling
Lord, You catch me when I'm falling
And You've told me who I am
I am Yours

I am Yours

                                     - Mark Hall, Casting Crowns

"What is man that You take thought of him, And the son of man that You care for him?"  Psalm 8:4 NASB

"This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent His son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins." I John 4:9-10 NIV

  7. You know Judy - I do ask sometimes Who Am I - that Jesus died for me - such a sinner - I know He died for others - but sometimes it is hard to believe for me. Yet I know because of faith he did. sandie

  15. Love the lyrics, and I guess I need to listen to this group. I hate it that I don't get to listen to music like I used to. I also miss reading everyone's blogs on a regular basis, so I am making a huge effort to get back "on program" this week, not counting the three days I will probably be "unplugged" Sat-Monday.
    Hugs!
