Chicken Chili
It tastes even better than it looks (fortunately)
Over the weekend, we attended the beautiful wedding of my husband's niece. I would show you a photo of the wedding party and the reception, but since I forgot my camera at home...
They live several states away, and we rarely see them, so I wanted to give them a wedding gift and a shower gift.
They live several states away, and we rarely see them, so I wanted to give them a wedding gift and a shower gift.
The shower gift was s spice rack, SO, I decided to include my recipe for Chicken Chili, printed out on craft paper, and put it inside the cute card from Studio206wi. LOVE that card!
I made this recipe last Sunday evening for our Advent supper. I used canned chicken breast from Sams (It's a good deal, you get 5 cans for under $10 and just white meat - no icky bits and no poison!) . Usually I make it with boneless, skinless chicken breast, but I didn't have any in the cupboard. See how handy that canned chicken is??
And now for the cute card from Carla at Studio206wi:
BUY THIS CARD
C'mon! Who can resist a face like that? And I thought it especially appropriate to go with the chicken chili!
The card may be a bit of a shock to the bride, but I doubt it. And I think she'll love it. What do you think? Wouldn't you like to get a card like that? Wouldn't you like to give a card like that. I'm sure Carla can find one for you.
I might have to buy another one to set on my desk - someone to keep an eye on me.

ReplyDeleteGood morning, Judy! Glad to hear you had a good time at the wedding. Maybe they'll send you some photos you can share with us?
ReplyDeleteI buy the canned chicken at Sam's, too, and like to make chicken salad with it, as well as using it in soup. It's so convenient to have in the cupboard. Your recipe for chicken chili sounds great!
Cute card from Carla, and I will check out her Etsy site! Have a good Monday!
great gift and I love the chicken card and the chili looks delish to me.
ReplyDeleteJudy, this looks absolutely delicious. I like that it's gluten free, too. I think Americans are overloaded with gluten, and I try to steer clear of it. So this is definitely something I would like to try!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Sheila
Judy, your Chicken Chili sounds delicious. I love the cute card. Wishing you a happy day!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Judy, for visiting my site and leaving such a sweet comment.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter would love the card because she loves roosters! I think the card is different, and it will likely be remembered.
Thanks for the gluten-free recipe. I have a gluten-free cornbread on my blog that would go perfectly with your chili. My daughter can't eat gluten.
What a nice gift. chicken chili sounds tasty.
ReplyDeleteVery nice card. Have a lovely day!
Hugs,
Eva
I love chili.
ReplyDeleteThe chili looks and sounds delicious. I would adore a photo card custom chosen for the gift! Cute as can be!
ReplyDeleteJudy, can you tell me Terri D's blog?? She visited me yesterday but when I click on her name, it does not give me her blog url??? THX!
ReplyDeleteWonderful! I have been looking for a good chicken chili recipe, but I wanted something tried and true, not a random one out of a cookbook. I think I may even have everything for this!
ReplyDeleteI've been trying to come up with new recipes to try out on the family. I think they will be getting Chicken Chili this week!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great recipe and it looks so inviting on a cold wet Monday.
ReplyDeleteFor Maple Lane....
