Tuned in...or zoned out?
What are they watching?? It may have been an episode of Sponge Bob or Thomas the Tank Engine. Not sure which. When I asked them if it was funny, they both looked up at me and nodded vigorously. Who would know, right? lol
As you may know, I took last week off blogging because [some of] the grandkids were here. It was great having them here, but I'm wondering why I'm so tired today - but truly a good kind of tired. And of course it now seems way too quiet in our house without them.

'King of the Mountain.'
With one subject who already gave up, it appears.
Ah, here we are. Three boys on the dwindling snowbank.
April 5. Crazy.
Buckled in and ready to go to Downing Cafe
To the Downing Cafe for delicious hamburgers and fries!
I hadn't been to the Downing Cafe for years, but it is fun - another one of those friendly little village cafes that I love. When you walk in this entrance, you go down a flight of steps to the cafe or up a flight of steps to another level. It looks like it might have been a school building at one time. (I suppose it would have been a good idea to research it before writing this post.)
And there's usually room for a 'peanut butter foldover.'
Grandpa making breakfast. Someone doesn't look thrilled.
Grandpa is a very good breakfast chef!
I think that particular day it was French toast and ham.

This is where the granddaughter could be found much of the time.
She's working on Maple Leaf Rag.

Our snow is actually melting - finally. It snowed again Friday night, but I think that Tuesday and Wednesday are supposed to be in the low 50s, so all this white stuff should be gone by the end of the week, and not a moment too soon!

ReplyDeleteI'm not sure who had more fun- you or them! I can just imagine how quiet it is there now. Deafening, isn't it? French toast and ham???? Sign me up next time! :)
ReplyDeleteSteps and peanut butter and a play with kids just up my street. Spring is late coming this year!! but looked like you all had a great time.
ReplyDeleteThanks for popping bye, to answer your question even if the farmer had signs up there is very strict guidelines the electric fences around the field we accept but the elc wire on the stile should not have been exposed, it should be above head height or below ground.
So in this case even if there was signs he had not followed the guidelines, Cathy who got the shock had a burn on her arm the size of a dollar!! I'm still in two minds to get intouch with the council, imagine if it was a child.

Lovely photos of your precious wee ones. When we spend time with our grandchildren it certainly does rejuvenate our spirit. I don't know about you, but I'm not as young as I use to be, and I have to rest for a few days after they are gone. Glad to have you back.
