Horses and Fences on a Sunny but Windy Day

Trying to ignore the wind
by facing away from it

Same pasture
Horses are just to the right of this photo

I took these photos on a sunny, windy day in March. So glad that wintery March weather is over...

...so we could enjoy the springtime weather of April!
  Photo Taken April 19th
I am not kidding.

And now it's the 21st. Snowing again.

Someone, please rescue me!!!

Update: It's now 8:30 PM, and raining like crazy.
Hopefully I will awaken tomorrow to a snowless landscape.

  1. The Midwest is having crazy weather, isn't it? My sis in MN reported a foot of snow this past Thursday! This is April, right? Heard that it's very wet in IL, too. The lake by our daughter is almost up to the road, no beach in sight.

  2. OMGosh Judy, Please come live with me in wonderful Kentucky where the weather stinks and if you don't like it just wait 5 minutes and it will change!! But you're welcome to come! Hugs to you and may God bless you. I don't think I could do it!!

  3. What beautiful pictures. My daughter loves horses and has joined the equestrian team now that she's in college. She used to ask me for a horse, but I don't think it would have done well on the front porch of our condo! LOL Native New Yorker here, we get some yucky weather, but nothing like that! Wishing you Spring very soon!

  6. I love those pinto horses, and brrr, snow in April? We need rain, but I can't complain about our sunny day today.

  7. Oh no, you've still got snow!
At least we have had a glimpse of some sunshine eventually.
    Hope you get some soon!

  8. If I'm in a cold really windy place then I stand REALLY, REALLY close to whoever I'm with. The horses should try that :)
I hope it stops with the snow soon, you must be fully fed up with it now!

  10. Oh yes, the wonderful Midwest weather this time of year. Can't quite decide if it wants to stay in winter mode or start spring mode!! Very indecisive!! :)

  11. Ee gads!! We had awful weather here too that day, although no accumulation. I actually hung a towel over my bathroom curtain rod because there was such a cold draft coming in-- never even did that over the winter! Love the horse photo. You can tell which way the weather is coming by the position of the horses! They still look awfully "fuzzy" too!

  13. I am wishing for you, that the snow will all be gone soon, and no flooding from rain, but sunshine and warmth.

  14. Beautiful pictures....I really feel for you with the weather. It is starting to look like spring here but it is still very chilly.

  15. I can't believe you have snow again!

You know what, we had 90 degree weather last week, and when I got home it had dropped to 50 degrees and was raining. I was actually glad because I had to go to a party, and my jacket was a bit warm for this time of year. But it was perfect for the drop in temps.

I hope you warm up soon. I actually enjoy chilly weather because we have two seasons here... mild and HOT.

    XO,

    Sheila

  17. More snow??! You must be really fed up with this now. I hope that soon you will start to see the shoots rising up from the ground again. Will send some of our unusually warm weather over to you. Take care. Chel x

  20. Sorry that the weather is so difficult where you are, it must be tiresome by the end of the season.

We had our last and usual late snowfall that upsets everyone including the sheep during early April (post Easter). My first day out after my extended time of house clearance was to The Lake District two weeks later & it provided good hillside pictures as well as a nice walk.
