Reign Dance Theater Production 2013

The cute and talented ballerina and her cute and talented sister
(two of the granddaughters)
You can tell I'm totally unbiased.

Saturday afternoon we had the pleasure of attending another great performance of the Reign Dance Theater in Eden Prairie. A mother and her two daughters write, choreograph, and design the costuming for these amazing performances. Our granddaughter, Elisabeth (r.) is part of the dance troupe, and we enjoyed watching her perform.

This year's performance was entitled Daniel, Undefiled - about Daniel and his three Hebrew friends who refused to bow down to Nebuchadnezzar's statue, and instead remain true to God. Their lives were threatened for defying the king, but God preserved them. (To read an account of that event, see the book of Daniel in the Bible - it's that book at your grandma's house, you know, the one with the black leather cover?).

It's not easy in today's society, either, to remain true to God and His Law, while others, heck, most of society, are mocking you for doing so. Many people in other parts of the world are, even as I write, suffering persecution for taking a stand for Christ, our only hope of salvation, Creator of the Universe, Savior to those who trust in Him alone.

This is coming soon to a theater near you, so now is the time to decide whose side you're on.

The script, choreography, acting, lighting, costuming, etc. were awesome. And it was a joy to watch these young people perform to the glory of God.

"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.  Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.  You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." - Jeremiah 29:13

  11. How wonderful to have your granddaughter involved in such a worthy production! So many drama groups these days waste good talent on frivolous shows, instead of putting something together that really teaches and inspires.

  13. Beautiful! I love the Ballet, but all of the studios around here seemed to have made their dancing more suggestive than I wanted for my four year old, so right now she is in a clogging class.

    Your granddaughters are darling!

  24. Checking out the family resemblance !

That would be great to see a play like that but greater to know that the story has some publicity.
