Prayer, Update

Thank you to those of you who prayed for James. (See post.) I am thrilled to report that he is home from the hospital after such a scary ordeal. God is gracious. The recovery time is expected to be long, but things are looking good. He was truly brought back from the brink, more than once. For that, and for those whom God placed in the right place at the right time, we thank our Heavenly Father, who hears the prayers of His people. As God brings them to your mind, please continue to pray for James and for his family. His mom also asked me to thank those of you who prayed for him. As any parents know, our children are precious.  To whom could we possibly be willing to entrust them, but God - our Creator, Redeemer, and Friend.

                                                              Psalm 63

You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water.

I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory. Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands. I will be fully satisfied as with the richest of foods; with singing lips my mouth will praise you.

On my bed I remember you; I think of you through the watches of the night. Because you are my help, I sing in the shadow of your wings. I cling to you; your right hand upholds me.

Have a blessed Lord's Day!
