I grew up with a sense of needing to be productive.
Yesterday reminded me of something a friend once told me:
Her husband had come home and asked her what she'd done all day.
She had replied,
'I don't know,
But it took me all day to do it! '
and that was my day YESTERDAY!
Let's hope there's improvement today.

ReplyDeleteI loved the answer your friend gave her husband. I certainly have many of those days. :):) Hope you have a wonderful day today. xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeletewonderful colors, textures and light!
ReplyDeletei washed with coffee today. yummy soap scent. you are a soap miracle worker. ( :
ReplyDeletei love that saying - the hubby will come home & i always wonder if he see what i have done during the day?? i know i don't really go to work but i deserve a paycheck all the same. i wonder how i can work that out??! talk to the government about paychecks for men & women that work from home?!
Do you think perhaps we got that work ethic from our parents and more so from our grandparents? I, too, feel that I need to do something important every day and always have that to do list.
ReplyDeletelove the wisconsin barns and farms. :)
ReplyDeleteHmmm...I am sometimes asked that question. LOL
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, rustic barns!
hi Judy. love the barn shot and what your friend told you.
ReplyDeletegreat photos and i really love the shot of the pomegranite..i used to eat them all the time as a kid, they were fun to eat, very staining though! my kids don't like them..whatever!
ReplyDeletei love what your friend said, i may use that :D
Great photos (as always) and I love pomegranates!!
ReplyDeleteI just love old barns and the structures around them. These are great photos. I love the one of the window opening in the stone foundation. Wonderful photos!
ReplyDeleteI love old barns. You have some great photos here! I have had days like that, too. You turn around and wonder where the day went. I think, for me, being raised on a farm meant that I did not have the luxury of doing nothing...and I am still not comfortable-doing nothing. I hate it when someone walks in the house and "catches me" sitting. I feel guilty- lol xo Diana
ReplyDeleteVery creative photography ~ love the rural photos ~ thanks, carol, xxx
ReplyDeleteAwesome barn photos. Here's a Muffy quote for you: "Since I've retired I have all day to do nothing, and some days I don't even get that done!"
ReplyDeleteSome days are like that!!!
Love these photos...love the different views of the barn.
ReplyDeleteYou know that is a good way of putting things - I was raised to be productive too - I love to work and keep busy - not struggle - but I don't mind working. sandie
ReplyDeleteIndeed, sometimes you have to be unproductive to see how productive you've been♪ Lovely pics..Have a wonder filled week! http://lauriekazmierczak.com/amazing-grace/
ReplyDeleteAnything that is old and still standing is great for photos. I love these barns.

LOVE that first photo :) And the inside of the pomegranate - awesome!
ReplyDeleteGreat barn and fence presentation.
ReplyDeleteI would be hard pressed the last couple of days to day I had accomplished anything except for genealogy work...I did pull out the boxes of Christmas decorations this evening, and that's as far as I got with that. LOL!
