I'm joining Vee this week for her Note Card Party. I've always been meaning to do this, but even now when I'm finally remembering the third Wednesday of the month*, I really hope I don't get arrested or anything for having five photos on the notecard box top collage. Actually, there are technically only four different photos because one is a detail of another. I didn't notice if there was supposed to be a theme, but if so, I doubt it was red phone boxes. They're always a favorite of mine, and I wish the Brits weren't replacing them with the ugly modern black and gray ones. Why on earth would they do that??

I've actually used this photo for a note card. It's so Yorkshire!

*Trying to remember the third Wednesday of the month reminds me of when our two youngest sons were grade school age, I had them alternate which days of the week they would shower. One had Monday, Wednesday, Friday and the other had Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday. How hard could this be to remember, right? But each always had a fussin' fit whenever he had to shower, claiming that it wasn't his day! I can't believe how long it took me to come up with the idea that they each shower every single day - and that totally eliminated the problem. No more fussing. It was amazing!

Oh I love the Red phonebox it would make beautiful notecards. B
I love these phone boxes and even the one mailbox that was in one photo. So classic and they would make a lovely notecard selection. It's a shame they are changing them to a different, rather blah, colour.
I love those red phone booths. I hope they don't get rid of them all. Why change the things that work? xoxo,Susie
Morning, I also love the look of the old red phone booth , great to see, Blessings Francine.
that is sad they are replacing them. at least they will still have phones, it is very hard to find a phone anywhere here, i don't even know where one is or if there is one.... these red phone boxes are really attractive to me.
(I see what you're getting at! No, no, we are not doing a Note Card Party every single day. LOL!)
It is always so much fun when you post your photos of the UK. I can't imagine that they are replacing the iconic red phone booths. Someone is not thinking. Beautiful photos, Judy! I love seeing that Yorkshire hill rise up directly behind the scene. Incredible landscape.
Glad that you joined in. And, as you learned, the Linky goes up a day Ahead of time and remains up until 10 am or so the day after.
I am I luv with these red phone booths... Perfect for adorable note cards.
Love these! Red does any photo a lot of good but especially when it's a British phone booth. The Westminster one, is that in your box top? Wasn't sure. It looks so much like a photo I have but it's hard to tell for sure with the close up. …. So glad you joined in!
Why does progress equal getting rid of iconic symbols of the past? I have always loved phones boxes and the black cabs in England. As for showering boys, more is better!
Beautiful photos, Judy! I simply love the red phone boxes :)
Your English Rose soap sounds wonderful! I love roses, but have often found the rose scent in soap and perfume to be strong for me - is yours more subtle?
Have a lovely day!
Love these! And I am agreeing with everyone else who is saying...What?!! Replace these wonderful red phone booths with *anything* else? Crazy.
With my two oldest children, we used to use the "even" and "odd" system. My daughter had "even" days because her birthday was the 18th, and my son had "odd" days because his birthday was on the 5th. If it was your day, you got to ride in the front seat, choose whether to go first or last in the shower, and so on. Then the third child was born...
they are charming!
I love Britain and this iconic symbol. It is sad that they are getting replaced. Your note cards and dialog made me smile.
Oh, I just think these phone boxes are so cool! I want one in my house! These are awesome AND unique photos which a make a delightful box of cards!
Oh I love the British red phone booths. So sad that they are being changed... These would make a wonderful notecard set.
I've never traveled there and seen these...but it sure makes me think of some movies I've seen. They are beautiful and make fabulous note cards! I'm so glad you shared them! Wouldn't they look good enlarged and printed....and grouped together on a wall. Enjoy your week my friend! Sweet hugs, Diane
Beautiful photos. I love the Kettlewell image with the vibrant red phone box against the weathered stone house. Striking.
Just a few weeks ago we went to the Queen Mary and my hubby took at pic in the red phone booth....I posted it!! Your card made me remember!!
What a novel idea, and this from a huge anglophile.... loved them!
They are definitely a favorite of mine and I loved taking pictures of them when I was in London.
Love those ref phone boxes.... What a great idea.... A notecard party!
I love your note cards and they sure make me want to visit England! Happy Easter to you.
No arresting here, just admiring, these would make beautiful notecards, thank you for sharing.
Wishing you a most blessed and happy Easter
The red phone booths sure are visible for their purpose and make some lovely note cards. There is rarely a public phone to be found here though as everyone seems to have a cell phone and they've become obsolete.
Love the shower story! The red phone boxes really pop!
The photo in Kettlewell is my favorite, I think. So Midsommer looking!
I flub on the rules all the time with Vee's party and haven't been arrested yet, so I think you're good.
They are replacing them? Oh no! I think they are simply lovely. I have neither the money nor the courage to go to England to see one myself, but a favorite photo of my sister on her recent trip was at just such a place. I love them. They have such character! (And the whole box of cards would be wonderful.)
Love you photos. Very quaint and colorful.
BTW You asked if my sheep photos were taken in Illinois. No, they are shots taken in Ireland.
Why in the world would they ever replace those red phone boxes?! I hope they're not replacing the red post boxes as well. Love the photo you use for a notecard - am Pinning it!
So pretty! I love the way the red just pops. Why WOULD they want to change them? Go figure.
Beautiful Note Cards Judy and I'm glad to hear you have printed some!!
I would buy them if I saw them in the shop - lovely greeting cards are scarce as hens teeth!
I can't believe they are replacing those beautiful telephone booths - who in their right mind would make a decision like that???
Like the red British postal boxes - they should be sacrosanct!
Wishing you a Blessed Easter season
hugs
Shane
Love your Kettlewell composition, I missed that one last month when I was there although spent a bit of time trying unsuccessfully to get the perfect shot there. Despite the iconic shapes, I'm sure the phone and post boxes wouldn't have been so loved if they were anything other than red. Nice post.
