Fall Decorating and Giveaway Winners Announced

My feeble effort

After uncovering some plants that had been threatened by frost, I had draped the dropcloths over the picnic table to dry because they were damp from the dew. Unfortunately, I forgot about them and we had a few windy rains before I got them moved to the clotheslines. In the meantime, orange, yellow, and red maple leaves had decorated them for me.

My feeble effort of a vintage box, a pumpkin, and a couple mums doesn't compare with the fall decorating that's done all around me, in our beautiful outdoors.

I'm glad I got these photos when I did. They (except for the mums) were taken last week, before we had rain, wind, and SNOW (Yes, that is not typo.) It snowed during the night Friday night and was 43 degrees and blustery on Saturday.. I am NOT ready for this!

  3. Yippee!! I was scrolling down to leave a comment after seeing your beautiful autumn photos...and I passed MY name!! Thank you so much, Judy...I am delighted! Now to choose...oh my...

Your autumn photos grab me, as I love autumn from the bottom of my heart. (Does that sound dramatic? It is true!) I think your "feeble" effort is lovely, with the vintage box being the perfect finishing touch. And you're right, of course, about the beauty of creation being the best display!

We took a stroll yesterday through a local park. It was beautiful, but our color is just beginning, markedly different from yours. And, thankfully, no snow for us yet! Oh my!

  18. Everything is gorgeous!!! Your beautiful mum arrangement is wonderful, even your wood is pretty! Whenever I buy mums and put them out, they always die. I have never been good with mums. And The sheet with the fallen leaves...I would leave it right where it is. It makes such a good decoration and really shows off the leaves.
