Our granddaughter asked me if I would guest post for Two Nerds Travel, a blog that she and her husband co-author, while they're away on their honeymoon. She specifically asked me to write about how I make a travel journal, because she's seen me do it - when, before she was married, she accompanied us to London and Cambridge. And although some of you have already seen this little project, many have not. For me, it's a fun and easy way to take a few simple tools along in my carry- on and end up with a completed souvenir to take home at the end of our stay.
So, to get the easy instructions on how to make a fun travel journal, please go to Two Nerds Travel for all the juicy details. I know that Anna and Ben will love to hear from you when they return from their honeymoon on warm, sandy beaches, far away from cold, blustery Minnesota...sigh.
On a personal note: After reading my post at Two Nerds Travel, I hope you will leave a comment for them, so that they will know it was worth asking Grandma to guest post! :-) I've gotta protect my reputation, you know!

I always take a Moleskin journal along on my travels - I have one specifically for trips. I'll pop over and see your creation!
I will hop right over there! I kept a journal when we went to Italy, but not a beautifully as you did for your trip.
okay -- heading on over!!
What a wonderful journal that you made. London is such a wonderful city!
I grew up in Kenosha Wisconsin, but I now live in Germany. So happy to have found your blog. I'm a passionate art journaler....

P.S. I love cranberries too :-)
Thank you for their link. I will check them out!
I'm heading over, Judy! I need to make a scrapbook or something from my journal when we were in England. ♥
hehehehe...nothing better than the written word. but now that i have my blog, i use it as a dairy and journal!!
Love this . . .
Now I go visit the kids . . .
I like your Travel Journal . . .
I will use some of your ideas!
I have a written journal that I have carried on my Ireland trips.
I wrote in it daily . . . and have referred back to it often.
I do find that I collect "bits and bobs" on a trip and many of them are tucked into my written journal.
Next trip I will use your style.
We too have had a scissors incident . . .definitely confiscated
Tucked in the bottom of my husbands shaving/deodorant pouch and found on the scan . . . zapped away!
A travel journal....what a fabulous idea, my friend :)
I hope you had a lovely Sunday and may your week be most blessed. Hugs!
Love how you've set this mosaic out ... and will definitely go across to visit 'the kids'
All the best Jan
What a fun way to collect memories of your trip!
Judy, we don't create a journal to that degree along the way, but we do take notes, and hubby always includes a picture of the venue when we take pictures, as usually there is a sign of some sort. Nice work!
Oh I love this idea.It is very beautiful and what a great way to remember. I went to a Travel writing workshop on the weekend. It was very interesting and would pair with this very nice. Thanks for sharing. Hug B
I guess this requires that one travels??? Have a good week Judy..
WOW! How fabulous! I used to make photo albums for big trips we made when my kids were growing up. We looked through some last week. I would love to make some travel journals like yours. Hugs, Diane
Hi Judy,
I am so happy to share with all, "I actually got to look at one of Cranberry Mornings journals. I think she does an amazing job. A true treasure!"
I am off to visit the Nerds!
Carla
Alright this is so interesting...off to visit the link! :)
Here I thought that I gave you a reply today on the scarf that I made...
But I first like to comment on your travel journal - how neat to be a guest author!
In the past I made travel journals, but since I started blogging,
I take that as my "journal" - of course not every detail, but the newsworthy and amusing facts are on here, because I also keep an art journal and a dream journal:)
Back to where I started, you made a kind comment on my blog in the post Seasons-curious about March about my knitted scarf, but you forgot to leave a pic for your link! Hope you don't mind, to go back (link is open till Wed. 6 pm) and leave me a pic - anything you like -Thanks so much!Have a happy week:)
glad you shared.
This is such a neat idea! I love this! :)
