'Hello, Judy? Why don't these people just go away and leave me alone.'
quoting Robert E. Lee
Even though she must have been horribly busy with her 90th birthday celebration and all, I was so pleased to get a phone call yesterday from one of my favorites - Her Majesty the Queen! I've always admired Queen Elizabeth's steadfast commitment to duty, honor, and country, and all done with such class. She will be a tough act to follow. Long live the Queen!
And just so you know, it's all so confusing as to how to address royalty, so I am including this link to proper etiquette. I'm sure we'll all have a chance to use it, next time we're invited to tea.

(It's such a pretty train and train station!
Then again, it would be, wouldn't it.)
So close and yet so far:
Windsor Castle
England is full of cute pubs
I didn't crop the photo because I wanted you to see the adjacent buildings, including the rack of clothes trotted out to the sidewalk for all the [tourist] passersby.
Coat of arms, high above the street
My guess: God give us virtue and industry?
Any Latin scholars out there?

Love the phone booth. And, I'll bet there is some mighty fine fish and chips inside that pub. :)
I enjoy all of your photos of England.
Hello, Judy! I love the phone booth and the train shots. The Windsor Castle is beautiful, brings back memories of my trip there. Happy Friday, enjoy your weekend!
Your photo makes me wonder if the queen ever was in a phone booth?! I enjoyed seeing all the family official photos celebrating her birthday but wonder if we would have seen more news coverage here if another prince hadn't trumped her news. No puns intended, honestly!
Wonderful photos!! The phone booth is my favorite. Thanks for sharing with us!
We didn't get to Windsor when we were in England 10 years ago. But we did take the train from Waterloo station to Norwich! It was a wonderful way to travel! Thanks for the memories!
that phone booth is hilarious!
you picked the perfect time to link, these are amazing. i am in love with that phone booth shot.. and the train and castle, oh my. i watched that 90 year old Queen step off the train like a 20 year old. i am sure i could not do it that gracefully... it is a lot of fun watching the Royals and hubby can't understand why i like to.... thanks for a very interesting visit to Britain
I enjoyed revisiting some of the sights in London. We didn't get to meet the Queen when we were there, but I so enjoy and appreciate her Christmas messages and honoring Christ. She was a good queen.
I took notes on how to address royalty. It seems I've been doing it all wrong with our Royal Flock of hens. Haha! Great post!
That certainly made me smile, a wonderful tribute.
Oh that phone booth is beyond adorable.
Long live the queen, indeed!
Judy, As usual you have the best photos. I want that phone booth !! That is great that the Queen still stays in touch with you. LOL. Love it. Blessings for a great fun filled weekend. xoxo, Susie
I love the phone booth! Have a nice weekend!
Ha! I have the same telephone box photo that I took on my blog from yesterday's post! I wrote all about the celebrations there too. Enjoyed reading this post and welcome to Amy's link up we're a friendly bunch x

LOL How sweet of dear Elizabeth to take time out of her day to thank you for the birthday present. Oh course what you expect from those English manners.
Oh my goodness, so many rules in that link. I like the last suggestion...just fess up and let the Royal person know you are an ignorant American who has no clue how to address them!! LOL
I'm sure you had a nice chat with the dear Queen!! She does look great for 90!!
A wonderful tribute to The Queen!!! I am sure that she will be delighted when she stops by to read your blog!!! The phone box is incredible isn't it! A lot of fun. Thank you for joining Five On Friday this week, I do so appreciate it and enjoy reading your posts. Hope you have a great weekend! xx
Love these photos of England :-) The queen is quite an amazing lady and what an incredible life. Enjoy the weekend.
Blessings,
Jill

Thank you for sharing your lovely photos. I have never seen Windsor Castle from that vantage.
We all wish the Queen a wonderful birthday time and you are so right, she's one of a kind.
Being Canadian she is technically our Queen too!
So glad you joined in! Love the phone booth and the coat of arms. Great post of Five...keep it up! :-)
Great post Judy - it reminded me of the time I visited Windsor.
I thoroughly enjoyed watching the Queen's celebration recently ... and we still have more to come.
Hope you have enjoyed a lovely weekend.
All the best Jan
Interesting post..Love the shot of the Castle..train, as well.
Lovely colourful post.
Nice of the queen to give you a call ... there must be a reason why she's been on the throne for so long !!!
I had a neighbor who was from England originally. Husband's in the Airforce and when they had to move I took their dog Lily in. She posted a link on Facebook the other day that I just loved...a pictorial of Queen Elizabeth from a young girl onward. What a beauty she was and is and what dedication to her God and Country.
