Bits of This and That

A favorite granary and silo south of Bloomer, WI

I'm still working on sorting, organizing, and pitching. It's a slow and grueling task, believe me, especially since we've been in the same house for 28 years. Little by little. I'm writing down goals for each day and hoping to get through it eventually.

Green. Such a beautiful color and one I'm especially missing these winter days.

I'm looking forward to a day spent with Mr. C. in St. Paul. It's nice to take a little break away from the usual scenery (as beautiful as that is).

A few winter pics, some of which you might have already seen.

And two of my constant companions:

Like little kids everywhere, Tommy & Smokey just love knock-knock jokes!

Have a great weekend, everyone!

  1. I hear ya about cleaning/pitching stuff out...before we moved up here, I'll tell you, it was a job. Have a great day, friend.

  2. My goal is to tackle our attic and garage and just toss some things Judy. My BIL got a small dumpster delivered to their house to allow them to just get brutal in tossing things.:)

  4. I'm still tying to clean and throw also. We downsized to a smaller house a year ago and I'm still trying to find places to store what I need to keep, but have to get rid of things first.

I know what you mean, we are 3 months into our 28th year and the last 7 days I have been tossing. one trip to Goodwill and more coming soon.

  6. What a great barn that one is with the green paint! I love it!!! The little kittens are just too cute both yawning at the same time. I know you must be as tired of winter as I am already...we are supposed to get more snow late this weekend. xo Diana

  10. How did we ever accumulate so much stuff! lol Yes I see the fur babies yawning but I'm sure that's a rare moment from when they're running around playing.

  11. Well, I give you credit for at least going through the process! It is a wise thing to do while it can be a blessing and not a burden! We sure love our stuff LOL

  13. Beautiful scenery and love those two little fur-balls! So funny how you got them both yawning, too! Aaaah - a cat's life......I've been reading so many blogs of people doing clear-outs and it is starting to inspire me to do the same. Did I say, 'starting'? That means I have to have a good think on it first. Haha! Taking that first step and getting down to the nitty-gritty is the hard part for me. I admire anyone who tackles this chore! Hope you get a chance to take a little break this weekend and do something fun. Hugs xo Karen

Your winter pictures are beautiful. Texas winters are mostly just brown!

  23. Such a beautiful green barn. You make it sound like you know each barn well, and you probably do having lived with the landscape for so long. I hope you had a good day up in the big city.
