On Saturday, Mr. C. and I went to the Cities to watch two of our grandkids perform in Reign Dance Theater's ballet production, 'Flashback.' It was SO GOOD and I know, spoken like a grandma, I'm very proud of these two pictured above. This might be our granddaughter's last year in ballet, and is our grandson's first year. Our granddaughter is really amazing and at this point, our grandson is really fun to watch. He kept me in stitches. And I think he's been bitten by the performance bug. Since we were sitting quite close to the front, I did a little wave at him (for which Mr. C. scolded me), and afterwards, he told Grandpa, 'I saw Grandma wave at me. The other kids were probably wondering who she was waving at, but I knew it was for me.' :-))) See, Mr. C.???
You can pick Mr. C. and me out in the photo collage above, and the other is a photo of our son and daughter in law. It's always fun to spend time with them and such a special weekend.
Partial lyrics to one of the dance selections:
A star hangs over Bethlehem A journey ends in the night Three kings trembling Behold the glorious sight Heaven's treasure Emmanuel Drawing men to bow down Tiny baby born to wear a crown One king held the frankincense One king held the myrrh One king held the purest gold
And one king held the hope of the world!

Hi Judy, I love the photos and it sounds like a very enjoyable time together. They lyrics are so very beautiful. We are enjoying lovely weather and planted a few marigolds that the neighbor girl gave us yesterday. I hope you have a lovely week.
ReplyDeleteGee, no. I haven't heard you talk about May in Wisconsin at all... LOL It does look beautiful but I think every season up your way looks beautiful. So glad you went and that you waved. Grandmas know. Grandpas can get over it. LOL
ReplyDeleteSweet pics of your ballet dancers. Your son sure looks like Mr. C!! It's only 7 here today which is about 45 plus a cold east wind and showers. Brr. Going to warm up this week though. Have fun potting plants.
ReplyDeleteYEs, I think it is time to plant a few flowers. Was it just last week there was frost warnings?? It always seems like it is a sudden jump into summer. Our first day in the 80s tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteJudy... great pics. I love that your Mr. scolded you! Too funny. Enjoy your gardening.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to get to enjoy something like that! And I know it's beautiful there this time of year. It's dry here but still green and beautiful here too. Enjoy your week! Hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteJudy, love the cows in the pasture. So nice for you to attend the grands events.
ReplyDeleteThe month of May looks grand in your neck of the woods! Nice mosaic of family photos, too!
ReplyDeleteHow great that you could attend the dance performance. Your granddaughter holds herself like a ballerina! May is very pretty in your corner of the world.
ReplyDeleteOne of life's rewards is watching the grands perform. They are darling and I'm sure they were thrilled to have you see their performance. Enjoy every moment of your beautiful Spring, Judy. I love the photo of the road with the open gate and barn ahead. Have a great time potting your plants. ♥
ReplyDeleteNow, that sounds like a delightful weekend! What a treat to see those dancers! (And for the little dancer to see you!)
ReplyDeleteYou wouldn't need to identify your son in the collage. He looks so much like Mr. C, he'd have to be his son!
What a great way to spend Mother's Day weekend! Love the photos - the kiddos are so cute. Love the cattle and the beautiful green!! Happy May!
ReplyDeleteOh, how sweet to see your beautiful grands performing on Mother's Day weekend. Love the beautiful family mosaic - I can see strong family resemblance here! Such pretty scenery, too. Love the vines covering the 'no trespassing' sign :) Enjoy the gorgeous weather! xx K
ReplyDeleteThat green is spectacular... I want to wander off down that path.
ReplyDeleteWarmer weather and sunshine arriving here, too, for a few days...we'll take it! It's been a long time coming. I'll try not to think about the slipping back...
Glad that your grandson was not totally distracted by that little wave. What fun for the grands to be performing in a good message performance and that you were able to see it!
Such a wonderful collection of family portraits in your mosaic this week, Judy, your grandchildren resemble you and your Mr don't they.
ReplyDeleteLove the countryside images, you know how much I love cows, the barn shot is magazine worthy.
Thanks for being a part of MM again this week.
