Anglophile Friday - Along the Thames - London - Quiz

A -  Palace of Westminster

As you can see, I'm getting this post up later than usual. When I scheduled it last night before going to bed, I forgot to change the time schedule on it. Anyway, there is so little text with it that it kinda feels like cheating. Then again, I think: Which would they rather see - more rambling from Judy or photos of London? Easy choice in my book. So, here are a few photos taken along the River Thames. I hope you'll enjoy them. And there is a reason why they have letters in front of the captions. You'll see at the end of the post.

B - Blackfriar's Bridge

 C - Old Blackfriar's Bridge Pillars

 D

 E - Traitor's Gate, Tower of London

 F - Charing Cross Station

 G - Greater London Authority
City Hall

 H - The Eye
And County Hall

 I - The Globe Theatre

J - The Prospect of Whitby Pub

 K - Tate Modern
and Millennium Bridge

 L - Tower Bridge

 M - Cruise Boat,
Millennium Dawn

N - ?

Feel free to try to put these in order - west to east or east to west. Any takers on this project? And yes, there's a bend in the river, so part of it will be north to south or south to north.  Is everyone totally confused now?

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

  2. Depends upon whether you're looking forward to shopping at the gift shop or if you've been accused of a capital crime.

  9. Oh yes, your photos are amazing ... wish I was familiar enough to do the quiz/puzzle. When we were there the Globe was covered in visqueen, bummer. Maybe I need to go again just to see it in all its glory, right? Thanks for sharing.

  13. Judy I went to London twice and I don't remember much. Once when I was about 15. The other time was in 1993. I have a terrible memory I might add.

Anyhow - I love your photo - I remember a couple of these things and of course the names of a lot.

What I think about now - is all the history that was there and all the beauty.

  14. Wish I knew more of London's geography! I guess I have never paid much attention to what is where.
If I were to make a stab in the dark I would say A,B,C,D,E,L is at one end and G,H,K,N at the other end and F,I,J somewhere in the middle. Starting with M, of course!

  15. Fun photos, Judy. Almost as good, but not quite, as being there! BTW your package arrived yesterday. Fabulously speedy service and of course, wonderful soap!

  18. I went there in 1999 and I don't know! A ferris wheel was there then, but I don't know if it was that one.

It sounds like a mystery daughter would have fun figuring out on Google Maps!

    Great photos !!!
