January 1, 2013

Happy New Year to all my wonderful blog readers and friends!
I'm looking forward to another year of reading your blogs and enjoying getting to know you better.

For some of us, 2012 was a relatively uneventful year.
For others, the year brought unhappy surprises, financial difficulty, or sorrow.

We never know what the next year will bring,
But we can trust the One who is the Sovereign Lord of All,
The only One who gives us Hope and a Future.

'But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings as eagles;
they shall run and not be weary
And they shall walk and not faint.'
                     - Isaiah 40:31

'Trust in the Lord with all your heart
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He will make your paths straight.'
                    - Proverbs 3:5-6

May you put your trust in Him who holds the future,
and may you know God's peace in 2013.
