Learning to Get Along
Enjoying a bright January day, the bunny and jays snacked on birdseed that had fallen from the feeder hanging above them. Now and then the bunny would hop, obviously trying to shoo the birds away. The jays would flutter their wings and flit about a foot or two away, but were soon back, crowding and evidently annoying, the hungry bunny.
So.....
Did you watch Downton Abbey on Sunday night? Tell me...what did you think of that episode?? What I can't understand is how Julian Fellowes manages to make me cry even when I've seen the episode before. What a tear jerker!! I wonder if he secretly delights in tormenting us.
Any lines you especially enjoyed?
Did Julian Fellowes make you cry??
C'mon...I want to know, I want to know!
P.S. Happy Birthday to my brother who is not reading this anyway. lol
P.P.S. Why on earth is Al Gore getting so much TV time this morning??? I mean, one interview would have been quite enough.

too many heartbreaking moments in this last episode - Maggie Smith walking ( barely ) into the room
ReplyDeletejust about ripped my heart out - never mind break it.....
Now he's left it open to absolutely anything can happen!

UGH!!
ReplyDeleteThe Downton. I watched it twice and cried both times. Now someone just has to sweep Edith off her feet in heavenly bliss.
Love your bunny and birds photo.
Just beautiful.
Woolie Hugs
Trace
It looks cold... but lovely all that the same time!!
ReplyDeletethat is an amazing photo of the bunny and birds... so sweet to see them eating together.. and glad they have food when they can't find it under the snow... dont watch that show
ReplyDeleteGreat photo! I love Downton, but we aren't caught up enough on our episodes for me to watch On Sundays. I was determined not to get hooked on the show, but it happened and I'm enjoying it SO MUCH !!
ReplyDeleteGreat photo! Looks like a Christmas card! I guess I'm the only girl on the planet who does not watch DA. Do I dare admit that??
ReplyDeleteLove that photos of the two of them!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the pic. I love bunnies!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
Sorry I don't get cable. Really wish I did.
Have a wonderful day,
Sherry
Great shot of the Bonny and the bird. I must admit that I am not as interested in Downton as I was during the first two season.
ReplyDeleteIt's obvious I live under a rock so I've never seen even one episode of Downton. Everyone is talking about it now and I want to catch up. I wonder where I could get the first couple of seasons. Do you know?
ReplyDeleteI loved the bunny photo!
I still can't shake the sad feeling when I think of DA. Maggie Smith is a great actress and she proved it by showing us her grief with her back to the camera!
ReplyDeleteNever watched that show, it sounds so good.
ReplyDeleteOh, that episode! So tragic. Terri, we caught up via Netflix. I think Amazon has it, too. I had intended to just watch it myself but after seeing the first episode I thought my husband would enjoy it, too. We then watched the first episode together and he was hooked.
ReplyDeleteWhy didn't the birds just eat out of the bird feeder?? LOL.
ReplyDeleteI cried my eyes out on Sunday's episode! So, so sad.
Sweet picture!
ReplyDeleteWe just moved to ND and I can't believe the size of the rabbits here...huge! I thought they were dogs!
My favorite show - I keep trying to figure out which one is Elizabeth McGovern.
ReplyDeleteSo sad. I can't believe they did that with my favorite character!
ReplyDeleteI looked her up and had her confused with Maureen McGovern, a very talented singer many years ago.
ReplyDeleteRuth, Cora, Lord Grantham's wife, is played by Elizabeth McGovern. I think she's perfect for that part.
ReplyDeleteI see that Marty came a'calling you for some handouts! The little scoundrel!
ReplyDeleteThe episode was a tear jerker. I felt sorry for the poor dear to die, and also have a whole cast of characters stand around and watch it!
I cried, even as I knew that it was TV. And yes, Maggie Smith amazing scene, when she straightens up her spine, and moves forward.
ReplyDeleteI'm waiting for Edith to have happiness...and isn't Mary becoming rather petty?
Jen
I watched it twice and cried twice. Halfway through and I knew what was going to happen, arggh. I agree with another commenter, when I saw Maggie Smith take the long anguished walk into the room I fell apart.
ReplyDeleteYour bunny and bird picture is delightful.
Lady Sybils death was unexpected and a two fold toughie for me. I had eclampsia and my baby weighed two pounds. Eclampsia is still the cause of young women's deaths even today.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could have seen the rabbit and the blue jay so close--beautiful.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite line was when Cora made it clear that Lord Grantham would be sleeping in his dressing room. He's becoming insufferable, as is Lady Mary.
Does anyone out there have any lurking suspicions that Bates might not actually be the nice man that everyone wants to free? I hope I'm wrong.
Beautiful shot!
ReplyDeleteLove the picture, the bunnies is so cute!
ReplyDeleteI haven't caught up on Downton Abbey yet, have Sunday's episode and the one before that to see. We don't have cable and our internet is so slow! Had a nasty feeling something horrible was going to happen....
P.S. For other readers that don't have cable- PBS puts the newest episode online for instant streaming, the day after it airs.
Sweet bunny and bird shot. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd,I was heartbroken. When the docs started arguing I wondered if that was where they were going, but dismissed it thinking "oh, they wouldn't go that far". What do I know. I was a little miffed and said I may not watch it any longer. I've heard there is another tragedy coming too. Happiness doesn't garner viewers, I guess. Well, they might lose this one.
That photo is so beautiful I would love to frame it and put it with my old bird pictures-it is so sweet.
ReplyDeleteGreat job!
Id love to have the views that you have... they are always so peaceful... I have some things I want to share with you in email... you've become my mentor :)
ReplyDeleteCute shot of the bunny and the jays!
ReplyDeleteI love the verses and the sheep picture on your sidebar -- so nice and peaceful. Sigh. Loved the bunny picture, too. We are in Calif., so no snow, but saw a bunny today, nibbling outside in the bushes.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely photo of the bunny and the jay! Glad they have food with all the snow about.
ReplyDeleteI tried to hold back my tears and was doing fairly well until Carson started to break down.,between that and Gran attempting to walk in..broken hearted,wobbly-legged and had the most amazing lace veiling on her hat. Two rhings are for certain..no matter how much Matthew wants an heir, after Mary witnesses the demise of Sybil, he isn't going to get one. They may end up raising Sybil's daughter if Tom goes back to Dublin and is either arresred and jailed or killed. Secondly, Lord Granthan won't be sharing a bed with Cora anytime soom. Anyone scream at the tv when the 2 doctors just stood there while she was seizing? I cried my heart out..and Thomas bawling that Sybil was the one who was kindest to him..ohhh I could go on and on..Ohhh Julian, you have touched our hearts and souls with your talents!

I have never, ever cried so much because of a tv show (I'm not really the cry during shows sort, it takes something hitting really deep to get actual tears out of me). Wow, that one really hit hard.
ReplyDeleteThough my timing for watching it (more on the BBC schedule, not Sunday) was simply terrible, being in the midst of certain things happening in my own life that just made it all hit too close to home. Took weeks before I could attempt watching another episode.
Oh yes, cry I did... I was so infuriated by that smarty pants doctor and Lord Grantham. Don't listen to the doctor you've used all your life, oh no! Poor Tom, I wonder what will happen to him now.
ReplyDeleteAdorable photo though!!
Awwww! Found you on A Favorite Thing! I would love to have you share this tomorrow on The Creative HomeAcre Hop! Kicking it off on Superbowl Sunday...

Love, love that photo! I'm a bird and a bunny lover.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for joining in this week!
xo
Claudia
What a wonderful photo of the bunny and jays! Love it!
ReplyDeleteLove your winter photo ~ the bunny is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI watch Downton Abbey online on my iPad after hubby has gone to sleep (not his cup of tea) (**
I hopped over from Claudia's.
What a great photo, love the birdies and bunny together!
ReplyDeleteI love it but such an upsetting episode of DA!
I love this photo, Judy! It's wonderful to see in nature what we humans can't always accomplish. I love watching the squirrels and birds together sharing the seed under my feeders. (And yes.... Downton Abbey has been heart-breaking lately. And so well acted, it really does make you tear up.
