The Fam Was Here

We had a great weekend. The 'kids' arrived on Friday evening. We mostly talked, ate, watched movies, looked at books, and went to church together. I loved every minute of it. Our son and the boys went sledding and snowboarding on our hill.

The room above used to be our school room, so I still call it that, although the little boys insist that it's 'the library.' I'll have to try to remember that 'it's the library!' (although we seem to have bookshelves scattered throughout the house.)

Both of the girls are interested in music. The one on the left loves piano, violin, and vocal. The one on the right loves piano, ballet, and English history. Notice she's reading my BBC History magazine! :-)  I can always find her engrossed in my books and magazines about England.

This little guy is such a snuggly, sweet kid! Good grief, I just couldn't get enough of his enthusiastic hugs. He knows how to turn on the charm! I loved it when he snuggled up next to me on the sofa while we watched Stone of Destiny.

I love those smiles.

All were here except for the oldest sister. Unfortunately (but actually, fortunately) she has a job at Caribou Coffee, so she was unable to be here at this time. Hopefully, we'll get to see her soon.

Mom and Dad will be attending a homeschool convention in May, so we'll get to have the kids here during that time. I look forward to it, and the weather should be nicer. (The weather better be nicer!) Our snow should be gone and replaced by GREEN GRASS. I can't wait!!

Lights out.

P.S. I would have another picture of the older brother, but seriously, there's not a single photo in which he's not making a face. We all know what 9 year old boys are like, right? :-)

Thanks for indulging me and looking at the photos of the grandkids.

Hope you have a great Monday!

  8. I love that they love the library and that your home is filled with books. I nearly tripped over books by my bed today but that is not really a bad thing:}

  11. Good Monday morning, Judy!
    What a precious family you have...and just look at all those sweet young faces.
    So many families are homeschooling. Our church is filled with HS families. Our little 7 week old grandson's Mommy and Daddy are already making plans for his homeschooling. My DIL was a homeschooler.
    Have a restful week, my friend.
    Blessings,
    Carolynn xo
