ReplyDeleteHere too, but with the below zero temps and wind the harvest is down. The taverns are booming!!! Oh another 'hunt' going down in the history books.
ReplyDeleteHunting season in full swing. I remember my dad's hunting coat. It had deep pockets where he could stash rabbits/small game. He would come home and he would always ask me to put my hand in the game pocket - and I would always look horrified and say "No, Dad!". It was a game...one that I miss!! His coat was more tan in color, and he had a bright orange collar thing that went over the coat, to hang down the back. It had a plastic pocket for his hunting license to be visible. This was a long, long time ago!! Thanksgiving was rabbit season in Ohio. Deer season came later for us, there.
