  2. Wonderful pictures! We're seeing hints of fall here too. Might as well enjoy it all since it coming no matter how we'd like to delay it! Do you ever go to Wautoma?
We used to stop off at to visit a place called Heath Farm Market that also had a wonderful antique store. I found garden things there too. We frequently headed over to the Mayo Clinic for our daughter in the 90's and that was a favorite stop for us.

  13. My husband has Lutheran roots as well...when we visited his grandfather's home town in Waconia, MN the docent at the county museum asked if we were the Catholic Grimms or the Lutheran Grimms.:) Love the pictures, esp those two cuties in the stroller.

  14. I should have clarified my comment Judy! They are Missouri Synod Lutheran. Most of them are in the MN area but my husband's father came to Savannah Ga after her met his future wife there during WW2. He became a Methodist but listened to the Lutheran Hour every week on the radio!!

  31. ...back to say I've been eying your soap for quite awhile now..I just read The Enchanting Rose's wonderful praise of you, your blog and your soap.
Here's a question I have...if I wanted to put delicious bars in my grands Christmas stockings, would it be wise to wait just before Christmas to order from you? I wouldn't want to order now and the soap not be as sweet smelling by Christmas (3 months away).
    Thanks so much.
    xo bj

  32. Two little cuties in that stroller, I got a little distracted ;)

Gorgeous views and fences but that last image stole the show for me!!

  33. BJ, in answer to your question:
My Christmas 2014 soaps are made and ready. I make my soaps in small batches, and when they're gone, they're gone until next time, at which time it would be another month after making them before I put them in my shops. My advice would be to get them while I have them.

My suggestions for fall and Christmas are:

    Pumpkin Spice
    Sandalwood Vanilla
    Woodland Flowers
    Frosted Apple Spice
    Peppermint Tea
    Olde Thyme Christmas
    Christmas Forest
    Cranberry Tea
    Mandarin Orange Spice
    Cinnamon Stick
    Figgy Pudding

As always, it's Buy any 5 or more, Get 1 FREE. If you are looking for multiples, I can make a reserved listing through Etsy if you email me and let me know what you would like.

Hope that helps. If you have any further questions, don't hesitate to write to me. Judy(at)soapnsuch(dot)com. And thanks for asking! :-)

As you may or may not remember, I have loved ones in Mt. Horeb. Have never visited, but would like to. Fall seems a wonderful season there.

  52. That Lutheran church is an impressive building, it reminds me of the grand Methodist Chapels in deepest Wales particularly "The Valleys". Buildings that dwarf the town literally.
