New Hope Lutheran Church - InSPIREd Sunday

***

My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus' blood and righteousness.
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly lean on Jesus' name.

On Christ the solid rock I stand,
All other ground is sinking sand.
All other ground is sinking sand.

When darkness seems to hide His face
I rest on His unchanging grace,
Dressed in His righteousness alone,
Faultless to stand before the throne.

On Christ the solid rock I stand,
All other ground is sinking sand.
All other ground is sinking sand.

(That's how I remembered it.)

  3. Very nice photos Judy. I am on my way to Georgia this morning to attend my aunt's funeral at the church I grew up in...there is something special about the church where you first came to know Christ. My aunt was a strong believer who leaves a legacy of faith so her funeral will be a celebration of a life well lived.

  4. Just sang this song in my head since I have a cold. It sounded a little stuffy, but wonderful otherwise.

I especially like the last picture. Reminds me of the foothills of the Appalachians.

  8. Jeremiah 29:11 is my (one of) favorite verses. It was in my Bible reading last night, actually (I have a Bible that you read each day - Old & New Testament, and you will finish it in a year...on year two). Beautiful church and surrounding area. Beautiful.
