New Hope Lutheran Church - InSPIREd Sunday

 New Hope Lutheran Church

***

My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus' blood and righteousness.
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly lean on Jesus' name.

On Christ the solid rock I stand,
All other ground is sinking sand.
All other ground is sinking sand.

When darkness seems to hide His face
I rest on His unchanging grace,
Dressed in His righteousness alone,
Faultless to stand before the throne.

On Christ the solid rock I stand,
All other ground is sinking sand.
All other ground is sinking sand.

(That's how I remembered it.)

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope." - Jeremiah 29:11

Have a blessed Lord's Day!

Very nice photos Judy. I am on my way to Georgia this morning to attend my aunt's funeral at the church I grew up in...there is something special about the church where you first came to know Christ. My aunt was a strong believer who leaves a legacy of faith so her funeral will be a celebration of a life well lived.

Just sang this song in my head since I have a cold. It sounded a little stuffy, but wonderful otherwise.

I especially like the last picture. Reminds me of the foothills of the Appalachians.

ps. I don't usually ask people to go to my blog BUT-If you get a chance swing by my blog. A little boy is lost in the mountains and the family is asking for prayer.

Jeremiah 29:11 is my (one of) favorite verses. It was in my Bible reading last night, actually (I have a Bible that you read each day - Old & New Testament, and you will finish it in a year...on year two). Beautiful church and surrounding area. Beautiful.

We sing his hymn at church!! And the words as well as the tune are lovely. I would love to go to this Lutheran Church for a visit. And I even see they have a little cemetery...

Perfect! America in Autumn...a white church with a steeple reaching toward heaven! Love it! Your hymn verses and scripture very much in keeping with the message this morning at my own church. Thanks!

Beautiful church nestled in the colorful foliage. I love those simple white churches in the countryside. I would like to do a photo essay on a collection of them, maybe someday!
