'Don't just stand there, open the door, let me in, and give me a treat!'
Just look at those begging eyes, poor dog!
Just look at those begging eyes, poor dog!
Poor dog my foot. She's outdoors whenever she wants and indoors whenever she wants. She hops up onto the sofa and lies with her head on a pillow. She gets a wee dog cookie every time she comes into the house, spends her early mornings on the window seat where she can watch for deer in the yard, and afternoons lying outdoors on the porch or deck or indoors next to the all-glass storm door. She's got it made. This happy grandpuppy is going to be 10 years old the end of the month.
It's a Wonderful Life
So does your daily schedule also consist of 'Let the dog out; Let the dog in; Let the dog out; Let the dog in...' ??

She is worth it she is beautiful. Hug B
She is a very pretty girl - and a very lucky girl!!
Our four cats have it pretty cushy, too. They have a pet door to the screened in pool area, so they can go in and out at will (though not really outside, in the grass and wide-open spaces). I clean litter boxes (3) twice a day, and they get fed twice a day. There are hairballs left in strategic places for me to clean up, and this morning, Vinny ran across the kitchen counter and knocked my ceramic spoon holder off the counter and onto the tile floor. I now need a new spoon holder, and will look for stainless steel. Sigh.
What breed is she Judy? She reminds me of an English Shepherd. Anyway, that sweet face would get me every time...I would be her slave.lol
Morning, I love her, such a beautiful face.Blessings Francine.
Aww...look at those eyes!
I won't even get started on everything that Gage puts me through each day. I'm sure it's pretty amusing to the neighbors when they see me standing outside trying to get him out and he's still sitting inside the door staring at me!
Love that sad look the dog is giving you at the door. I am not a dog owner...but there are dogs that I love..my daughter's dog Sam is so sweet. Well Lizzy's twin sister Karen, has a dog , Harly , it drive me nuts with it's barking at times. (Yikes, settle down doggie.) I let her smell my hand then I give her a carrot for treats and she's quiet then. LOL. I think she knows I will do that. I do not like to think of how old some dogs are, it kind of makes me sad. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
she is ablsolutely gorgeous.. and yes to your question and we have 2 that go in and out..
They look like very contented pets! I hope you got my email thanking you for the soaps! I'm enjoying them and they make my whole bathroom smell wonderful! Enjoy your day! Sweet hugs, Diane
That dog looks so sweet. We don't have one but live with two...one is the sweetest brown lab and she is getting gray under her mouth...she belongs to grandgirls....the other is a black and white Great Dane and just a pup...and she is beautiful.
She belongs to another grand.
oh, and meant to add they both can go in and out at my son's house, thru the doggie door....
Pier 1 for the pumpkin...
Love, love, love dog stories and this one sure applies! We taught our Beagle many years ago (RIP) to tap a bell with her nose when she wanted to go outside. As you may have guessed. The bell idea was short-lived. She drove us bonkers with the in-and-out-in-and-out!
No, my days do not consist of let the dog in, let the dog out, let the dog in...mine consists of let the cat in, let another cat in, let the other cat out...now the other two want to go out...let the cat in, let the cat in, let the cat in....or else they come to the door and we open it, and they try to get us to come out and play. At least the dogs always knew what they wanted!
Judy, for sure that describes my day, and then it's a major part of my conversation with hubby...I let the dogs out at 11, Have you had the dogs out, How long will we be gone for the dogs to be out? ;-)
What a sweetheart and yes it is the same scenario with our dog Bingo. MB
She's not vintage, she's alive and well and gives all her love to you.
That looks like a well-loved, very happy, dog! To save potential emotional turmoil and vets bills, I bought my wife a battery-operated puppy one Christmas. It sits in a little basket and breathes, but that's about it. I think you could pay extra for a bark. I won't tell you what the deluxe version did. Have a great weekend!
Yes my daily schedule involves the same thing and I love it! They are the best....
YES! the other day, after a rain, i was tempted to answer my phone: "hello, you've reached mudball central! doggie doorman, here!" :)
she's adorable and i love how spoiled she is! just like mine...
Awwww...your "puppy" is a doll baby!! She does have it made...and that is so good to know.
At our house it is the same routine, only with a little diva cat. :)
What a beautiful doggy life. So precious!
What a sweet canine face.
Pure sweet puppy love!
Woolie Hugs
She does look so much like the dog I had as a teenager. But mine did not have the hound dog eyes! Mine was some kind of mixed breed herding dog, what is she? So pretty...
Lol..Reminds me of two of our cats.
We have 3 but only 2 go outside.
Our 3rd one can't go outside,
vet says that cat is allergic to fleas.
Anyhoo, hubby says they are just like kids.
The two that are indoor/outdoor are up in age. The other is just 3.
When we got the youngest one, one of the older cats actually became more active re-living his younger years.
Have a great weekend!
Sounds like your dog has you well trained!
Our chores for the day is Feed the Cat...Pet the Cat...Look for the cat...Feed the Cat...Water the Cat....and icky of all...Empty the Cat Litter box. Oh oh...don't forget to feed the cat --- and then try and get the cat to move off the body on the bed....they're HOT.
ps...beautiful dog...and 10 years, that's GREAT.
Yup. Josephine out, Josephine in. Lather, rinse, repeat. All. Day Long.
What a cutie ---That face!! Funny how WELL TRAINED WE are :-}}}
It used to and I still miss her. In fact tonight for the briefest moment I thought she was lying next to my chair. Must have been a flasher or my cataract acting up. :-) Have a good weekend.
She is beautiful.
Same routine here, dog now won't come in the house without a treat on offer. So it's in out, in out :)
Yep, that's a dogs life! I'm in the city so dogs have to be on a leash, I bet the city dogs envy the country dogs lol! She is a sweet looking dog.
Carol
hehehe, this really gave me a good chuckle!! i don't have a dog, but i really want one.....
so i guess that makes me a vintage lady who wants a puppy ;)
beautiful pictures of your pup!!
You have the cutest dog ever! Oh, that face!!!! Precious!
I just may have to check out your luscious soaps - love artisan ones, they're so much more special and make excellent stocking stuffers!
Thanks so much for visiting. I am your newest follower now.
I love dogs!! She is a sweetheart I'm sure but being on the wrong side of the door is always annoying. I lived with that for 10 years. LOL Our 'grand dog' lives down at our son's now and he's 13 years old. They have the pleasure of letting him in and out, along with their 2 other dogs! :-)
They certainly know how to use those eyes, don't they?
We used to have kitties and they lived the lives of kings and queens. We miss them...
Give Grandpuppy and ear scritch for me?
Wishing you glimpses of heaven in unexpected places.....

I wouldn't be able to resist that sweet face. Our dog is just about 17 years old now and still goes out by himself through the doggy door although he needs a little encouragement sometimes.
Our little Westie went to the great beyond twelve yrs ago. Still miss him. I finally moved the sofa...a few years later . Yes to finally vacuum....and there was his favorite toy. I sat down a bawled.
I know the routine very well!
Gorgeous dog indeed . . .
Returned home last evening from our trip.
Thank you, thank you for the soap . . . Fragrances are tucked away in my soap drawer. Lucky me with a thankful heart!
Yes it does, but in our situation we have to go out and in with him.
Yours is a cutie pie.
Oh, yes....living a "dog's life!" :-) Great pictures of your pooch!
