Strawberries and Good Fences

 Strawberries from our backyard

Mr. C. came in carrying a little bowl of berries for me during an especially frustrating time last evening when I was having trouble with my laptop that seems to have all sorts of issues right now, (I mean Really! It's one thing after another) and something as easy as printing out a shipping label became a multi-problem, big deal task.

I've not been blogging as much, as you may have noticed. If I could post from my Kindle, I'd do it, but haven't figured out how.  Anyway, I've missed you all and I'm going to try to get to posts today. We'll see how it goes.

I wanted to try to get a couple fence pics in here and join in Theresa's Good Fences. There's something about barns and fences that always appeals to me, and evidently to others as well.

 Granary-turned-garage and red board fence.

Fence and out buildings in the Westby area
(I don't remember if I posted this earlier or not. Unfortunately, I'm not out and about getting new photos, so I'm dredging
 the archives.)

The Strawberry Man just popped in with a refill, but I passed on it and will eat the berries for breakfast tomorrow instead. There's nothing like fresh strawberries that have been allowed to sit on the vine in the sunshine long enough to get sweet. Amazing taste!

Speaking of amazing taste, a friend stopped in today, bringing with her a treat of watermelon. I don't even remember the last time I ate watermelon, but boy was it delicious! Summertime: strawberries and watermelon. Can't beat 'em.

I'm thanking God today for good friends, a kind and thoughtful husband, animals we love, and delicious summer fruit.

Have a wonderful Thursday, everyone.

Linking to Theresa's Good Fences.

My little pal Tuppence, always nearby.
She's such a sweet kitty!

I think we may have to try growing strawberries next year. I'd love to try one that was sweetened by sunshine, fresh from the vine.

I know our devices can be so frustrating. I'm sure the strawberries helped a lot though. Love your country fences.

Judy, I'm so jealous! I, too, have a kind and thoughtful husband; but I *don't* have Tuppence and strawberries in my garden! Hope your recovery is going smoothly.

Such a sweet look at Tuppence. Great fence photos, too. Someday you must tell how Tuppence got his/her name.

Sorry about the computer troubles..it seems we all have to go through that at least every year or so. I'm jealous of your hand-delivered, fresh off the vine strawberries....YUMMY! Have a great day!

Hi Judy! I hope you are getting along well. Those beautiful strawberries look scrumptious...our local ones are long gone but have actually been able to find some fairly tasty ones at the grocery lately! Your barns and fences are so lovely. Take good care!

Well I do agree with you on the Fresh Strawberries but I'll need to pass on the Watermelon - It was so nice of your friend to bring you some.
Great fence shots. I liked them both.
Hope you are doing well and recovering quickly.

Judy, your photo of those lovely strawberries is gorgeous! You should make a copy and hang it in your kitchen.
I do hope your recovery is going well. I know it's hard to not be able to do all that you want. Take care of yourself, dear one. xo ♥

I'm feeling bad that on top of being limited in getting around, your computer is acting up. It can be so frustrating. The strawberries look delicious and to pop them in your mouth right from the vine (or nearly) must be an incredible experience! We appreciate our friends even more when we are set aside or need the help they bring. It looks like you have a very faithful friend at your side.

I hate it when my old computer has fits, or our internet supplier goes for a vacation once in a while. I like how comfy the cat is, It is a nice cat. I have been picking raspberries every other day. We don't have lots. I love strawberries.

Just take the time you need and heal up properly dear Lady! Patience is a virtue they say. Lol ;)

Strawberries and watermelon could possibly be 2 of the best things about summertime in my book!!

Blessings on a wonderful weekend ahead. xoxo

Hello Judy,
There's really nothing to compare with strawberries ripe and warm from the sun. I hope you continue to mend. Summer is a good time to take it easy.

As soon as I typed that last sentence I thought about my garden, some canning I'd like to do and realized that summer can be as busy as we make it.

There's something about that fence and building in the Westby area. I can recommend fresh fruit with Greek yogurt and a liberal spoonful of honey :-)
