Making a Jigsaw Puzzle from a Photo, Misty My Dog

Misty Amongst Sensible Shoes

I've shown you our little blind, deaf, and elderly dog Misty in a previous post, but this photo looked like it would be a great jigsaw puzzle! Wouldn't that be a fun one?  Anyway, there's no place she would rather be than near me, and the next best thing is our shoes. Lots of good smellin' there, I guess.

Have you ever had a jigsaw puzzle made from a photo? Which company did you use? I see that Shutterfly will make puzzles from one's photo, but I want to make sure that if I spend the money to do this, the pieces are a good quality. Got any ideas?

i used this company a few years ago for one of my pond photos. i was pleased with the 16x20 puzzle i ordered. it is a bit expensive, but i've fixed it several times. the pieces are good quality but they are thin - not like those thick old-time picture puzzles.

I have never had a puzzle made from a photo. This is a precious picture of Misty.

Truth be told, I've never worked on a jigsaw puzzle!

Had a puzzle made a decade ago I guess. Used one of those online photo sharing sites. Can't remember which one it was. Snapfish maybe? Very disappointed. Pieces thin and cheap.

That photo would make a great puzzle. I haven't had one made but I do like Shutterfly's products. I love the quality of Springbok puzzles which I usually buy. If TexWisGirl says she liked her's I would trust her opinion! Can't believe Blackberry Lane has never worked on one.....

Oh Judy, Misty is absolutely precious! This photo would make such a sweet puzzle!

My husband and I had one made from one of our engagement pictures and we had it out at our reception for people to put together while we had our pictures taken. I can't remember who I went through (sorry about that), but it turned out nice and well-made.

Enjoy your weekend!

Actually, I've had one done for my nephew a while ago from a photo...and I used Walgreens. It was in expensive, very clear, and after he finished it we used the puzzle glue and he framed it.

LOVE this dog...how precious.

What a great idea to make a puzzle of your photo. Like others, I haven't ever had one made. So, no advice.

Thanks for stopping by this morning and leaving a lovely comment. You are an early riser! Or an all-nighter! :)

Love that photo of your dog. Bless it's heart. It's funny you mention picture puzzles. We have a puzzle factory in our town and they make puzzles from photos. I have not had one done, but I sure thought it would make a nice Christmas gift, don't you think? Blessings for a great weekend, xoxo,Susie

Hi,
I love the photo. And I think it is a great idea.
We use Snapfish and MPIX for our photo-books and prints. We have not had a puzzle made, but we are very happy with the work we have had done by both companies.

What a great puzzle this would make! I was once part of a group of ladies who got together every few weeks to work on puzzles (and talk), and we would have loved this.

Oh, sweet Misty! She looks comfy in amongst your comfy shoes. I LOVE jigsaw puzzles and just removed one from my dining room table recently. It is a hummingbird that I have completed numerous times.

The photo of Misty will make a delightful puzzle!

Thanks for joining Perfectly Precious Pets :)
