Barns of NW Wisconsin

SW of Rice Lake, WI

My daughter took the photo of this unusual barn in Barron County. I'd like to find out the history behind it.

My time online this week is going to be sporadic at best. I have some posts scheduled, but VBS is coming up in just a few weeks and it's not so much that the craft samples will take all that much time to make, but locating my supplies is the issue. This week I'll be tracking down the supplies and getting organized with my VBS crafting buddy.

How is it that June is coming right up??? Good grief, we were in the midst of winter a week ago!

What's a VBS? Very Big Show?

Haha. VBS - Vacation Bible School - like a special week of school at church, for kids, in the summertime. :-) It has a theme, and consists of Bible lessons, crafts, and games. I'm sure you have it there. It's probably called HBS. ;-)

What a cool barn-- looks tall! Yes, June is quickly approaching. I have a few happenings too-- better get prepared. P.S. I know what VBS stands for!

I love seeing old barns, but it makes me sad to see them falling into disrepair. We should preserve all that we can! I know VBS well, having grown up in the Methodist church. Bless you for helping out, and good luck with your craft project planning!

ARGH! I need to order soap and still think about it when I'm here at school. Got any that will help with memory issues? Have fun with VBS! We always enjoyed it!

I love seeing photos like that... as I've said many times before.. it reminds me so much of home. Which, by the way, I will be visiting as of Wednesday! This makes me even more excited to get there!

The photos are beautiful, but I especially love the one with snow, not even because of the neat barn, but because of the snow and earth. I can almost smell it - the air, the snow, the moist soil... I am missing winter already. It is almost summer here.

Good gracious! Don't tell me it is almost June! It was just the beginning of May!! We are suppose to be moving the end of May, I am trying not to look at the calendar too much.....
I know what you mean about it just being winter! We had a frost this morning.

You take the most charming pictures. I'm sorry I've been 'read and go' lately but I had to drop a comment now that things are slower here.

Blessings on your week.

This is a most unusual barn indeed. Do keep us posted of any details you discover. Our old barn has the silo built on the inside of it... I hate to see neglected barns, but they certainly are sponges for expensive repairs.

Hi, my friend... dropping by again from Claudia's as I'm participating in her blog party. Still loving this barn. It reminds me of the one we had when I was young.

Hope you find the supplies you need for VBS.

I've no idea why but I seem to be a fan of USA barn architecture. It looks like that it"s going to still be standing up for some time to come !
The year is flying by.
