Vintage Shakespeare Calendar - 1979

 Cardinal Wolsey:

Vain pomp and glory of this world, I hate ye!
I feel my heart new open'd. O, how wretched
Is that poor man that hangs on princes’ favours!

I received this calendar from Eric (the cousin who contributes Amish photos occasionally), quite a few years ago, but after the 1979 date. I've always kept it in a special place so I wouldn't lose it (and of course forgot where the special place was). BUT, I found it again and it's now safely ensconced in my 'Cool Stuff' file folder.

The pages are a heavy cardstock, and the colors are beautiful!  I printed the first caption, January-February, so you can read it. The others are readable.

Now I've only to wait until 2018 and I can use it again.

Pretty cool, huh!

It's a very beautiful calendar with wonderful artwork. I've never kept a calendar to reuse in the future.

Beautiful! My daughter has loved Shakespeare since she was 8 or 9 years old. All of her pets have been name for Shakespearean characters. I think I will do a bit of search for a similar calendar. Thanks for giving me a unique gift idea.

That is gorgeous! Maybe you could scan it and use the images for scrapbooking or card making. It really is unique and beautiful. Hugs!

I have to tell you how flummoxed I was by your caption stating "Vintage" and the date is 1979!! I still can't wrap my mind around that being "vintage"! LOL Seriously!

Beautiful calendar and how cool to be able to use is again in just a few more years! ;)

Wow, that's neat! I love the illustrations.

We are big Shakespeare fans and have read fourteen plays.

It's beautiful.
It's nice to find nice things you've put away and forgotten about.
Excellent that you will be able to re-use a calendar :-)

That's beautiful! I graduated high school in 1979. If I had a neat calendar like that I probably threw it away back then. Foolish young thing.
