'Seek the Lord while He may be found;
Call upon Him while He is near.
Let the wicked forsake his way
And the unrighteous man his thoughts;
And let him return to the Lord,
And He will have compassion on him,
And to our God,
For He will abundantly pardon.'
Call upon Him while He is near.
Let the wicked forsake his way
And the unrighteous man his thoughts;
And let him return to the Lord,
And He will have compassion on him,
And to our God,
For He will abundantly pardon.'
P.S. I wasn't sure how the photo related to this post, but each time (and there were several times) I was going to remove it, I just couldn't quite do it. There's something about the photo. I wasn't sure what it was. It's such a picture of defeat and hopelessness and desolation. Maybe that's it. Most times when I post Scripture, I accompany it with a beautiful sunrise or sunset or clouds. Maybe this photo has to do with turning from that life, not walking through that door, not walking into that trap of emptiness. Instead, turning from hopelessness and desolation to the Source of Hope and Freedom. If you turn 180 degrees, you will find that the view is awesome.

I like the picture!
I, too, am intrigued by the picture. It suggests to me that without God, our lives are a place of desolation. He made us that way so we will long for the peace that is found only at home with him!
Love this mornings post friend..
And what a amazing view it is.
Woolie joy :)
it is a beautiful photo, and i want to walk through that door and explore. that is what i was thinking until i read your post. it did not say to me what it said to you. that is what ART is all about. my first thought when it opened was oh wow i would love to get in that building and see the rest of it.
I love the photo. It does say many things.
I just stared at that photo for the longest time before I scrolled down to read the post. There is something hauntingly beautiful about that shot.
Wonderful post.
It does make you stop and think...
It is a very thought provoking post. The photo is starkly beautiful and the scripture speaks to me. Have a wonderful day. Blessings...Mary
Black and white photos are so filled with emotion aren't they? Love this photo and post-thanks.
I like the photo, and it does make me a little sad. It does go with the scripture. Glad you followed your instincts and left it there!
I LOVE this photo. I am glad you didn't remove it. It is beautiful!
When we feel our most bleak is when we most need the comfort and solace of turning to one who is always watching over us ....
That is a great thought! Love the verse.
Amen, amen.
Thank you!!
It works. It really does. Thanks for popping by. Any friend of BJ's is a friend of mine!
I find the photo has great composition, draws you in and does indeed goes with the scripture.
Thank you for this, I needed it.
I always talk with my heavenly father, mostly when I ask for something it's protection for my children. But now I'm praying for healing of my heart... It's so hard to love another human so much and be hurt so badly by them. But what I don't understand, I know that God does. I want you to know that the truth is this... Every single day since I read your one email that talked about how what I was going through would effect my children, I have thought about you and your words.
God put you in my life for a reason. And for that I'm grateful.

A bit out of context perhaps but...
