Shoveling the Snow
The thing that you're thinking is a snowblower is actually a
wheelbarrow - for hauling wood to the house.

I don't get tired of seeing photos of snow. Yours are wonderful. I noticed your husband snow blowing in shorts! And I wonder how long it will take for it to melt. After two days of nearly 70 degree weather and sun, we still had a very tiny patch of snow left.
Your home looks so lovely nestled into the snow! Does that crazy man wearing shorts while snowblowing belong to you? This from the gal's whose hubby decided to go sledding with the grands! I have decided not to rail so against the snow. I live in the great north after all and there are many blessings here. (Do not ask me about this if it snows in April, though.)
Oh my that is a lot of snow. I see a ladder near the porch roof....You must be planning on getting the snow off the roof...YIKES. You know this kind of snow carries a one-two punch. First you shovel it more than once when the wind drifts it, then there may be flooding when it starts melting, if it melts too fast. I am praying for all of us , come the big thaw. Be careful if you get out. xoxo,Susie
that is a lot of snow. my friend left from Milkuaee 2 weeks ago to stay at the beach in Savannah, her plane left to go back this morning at 8 and i am thinking she will not be happy when she steps off the plane, just hope the plane can land.
you are right it is so beautiful. i love your house and that sweet dog to
Um, this man doesn't own a snowblower. He does it the old fashioned way - shovel, shovel, shovel. :-)
shorts? :)
made me laugh.
Beautiful home and surroundings. Thanks for sharing the pictures and I hope you will have a cozy Saturday.
Your house is lovely in all the snow.
Wow, that's a lot of snow on the roof!
Shorts -does he think he is in GA? And you do have a snow blower with all that snow. And does you over look the a mountain? Your home is beautiful - even with all that snow!!!
You guys have way more snow than we do! I thought snowblowing in shorts! I love the wrap around porch you have.
Pretty pictures, but you must be tired of it-- I am!
Also...why is Dad in shorts??
Angela, your dad is in shorts because: it's your dad. It's how he responds to a 25 degree day after having many -25 degree days.
Judy, this is lovely!
Oh, and BTW, I finally cobbled together a costume for the Downton Dinner. Amazingly, I had all the parts!
xo

Good heavens! Yes, he is shoveling! Something about the wheelbarrow tipped up made me think it was a snowblower. What? It's NOT a wheelbarrow tipped up? Well who onew that I had to pay such close attention?! Hahahahahahahaha...
onew? that's the new way to spell "knew."
Beautiful!
Great photos, Judy. We had a teensy bit of snow this morning, but it melted as soon as it hit the ground.
Hope you're staying nice and warm!
just beautiful simple images…a treat . Thank you
It is absolutely beautiful but I prefer to view your photos and not have but one short pretty snow and then it disappear. Is he shoveling in shorts!?! I would go totally insane if I looked out every day and saw piles of snow. I have to have days like today of sun and 75 degrees to be outside. And you tell me there are perennials under all that?
Judy- Those are just absolutely gorgeous photos. Wow! I am starting to fail to see the beauty over on this side of the state. lol Hope you are having a wonderful weekend - xo Diana
Yikers. You definitely got a lot of snow. So did we.
Your house looks so nice and snug and cozy amid all the white!
Stay warm. Spring is right around the corner (?) Susan
Such lovely pictures.
Wow that is a lot of snow :) it is very beautiful!
Gosh, it sure is beautiful! And look at how much is piled on your roof!
Some nice shots.
Thank you. Love love, Andrew. Bye.
I can't believe you still have that much snow... My daffodils are only a day or two from blooming!
Your snow is BEAUTIFUL!! I guess if you're going to have snow - make it big and a lot of it and beautiful!! I be that you're ready for a change of season though!! Amazing the amount of snow you get!! Hope you're doing OK with it all and that it'll melt down soon and not be too muddy for you!
Not seeing much beauty in all of it in this end of the state, either. I think that beyond the amount of snow are the temperatures. The 2 days of 40*+ temps this past week were amazing. Now it is zero and below for the next 7-10 days again. In fact, they are saying record breaking low temps this week. Those 2 days did make me believe that there might be a spring in sight. Certainly not in 25 days, but somewhere in the foreseeable future! Stay warm!!
I'm learning to live with the snow, it's there, it's not going away, might as well enjoy it...lol.
Jen
beautiful pictures...that is A LOT of snow. p.s.love the picture of your dog!
Oh my!! That is a whole lot of snow!!
It does look beautiful.... although still very very cold!!! :)
WOW, that is a lot of snow and I'm sure it is freezing there as well. I have many concerns for everyone this winter. when it melts the water has to somewhere and the ground will be so saturated. I hope everyone across the country is not affected.
Cynthia
Lol! Desensitized, probably!
We got rain and ice, not sure if that was a good thing or bad.....
Oh Judy - I think you're living in my dream house - ( not my dream climate - I've had it with snow - I'm not desenstized at all lol )
BUT your photos, as always, are sheer perfection !
XOXO
It never ceases to amaze me how much snow you get, fantastic pictures though, the last one is great.
