I couldn't help it. I had to post this photo of the little grandson standing on his tiptoes, looking down into the water of the creek that flows from the north branch of Pine Creek and into the Dallas Pond. I wonder what was going through his mind. He did have a lot of zombie tales, so perhaps that's what he was checking out. Or perhaps, like his grandma, he simply finds water mesmerizing.
Cattails along the Dallas Pond
These two photos were taken along Highway U, south of Dallas. Highway U has many 90 degree turns in a short distance. The map looks like a zigzag.
One of my favorite rust collections
Good? Fences
If nothing else, it certainly was an eye catcher!
Springtime in Wisconsin
We had beautiful weather two weeks ago when the grandsons were here, then a week of cold and rainy weather. The forecast for this week looks wonderful. Lots of blue skies and warm temperatures. It's perfect weather for happy walks. Gardens and fields will be getting lots of attention this week!
Hope you have a great Monday.

The plate fence is a good one! Someone edges a "natural area" here with china plates like that. Always makes me smile. Nice fences and barns today--and glad you've got some good weather ahead for your outdoor work. Have a good week!
oh i just LOVE the little one looking down at the water...that is priceless!
Adorable photo of grandson. These are times he will remember. I have a love of china plates, too, but never thought of planting them. :))
The plate border is very interesting, indeed!! I love the boots, too! Water does have a way of drawing you in, especially when the weather is perfect and the water is flowing just right.... Great catch!
super shots today. i love the OLD barn better than the new, both are beautiful. and in the odd fence with plates my favorite part is the old boots. if that were my son when he was that age, he would be scoping for frogs and snakes to capture and torment his mother.. that is adorable.
Nice photos - zombies...love it! Of course, I watch the Walking Dead. My girls loved troll stories - we couldn't go over a bridge without their saying..."I wonder if there is a troll under there..." Yes, this week in good ole WI is going to be beautiful!
That rusty barn roof is awesome!
That first one is just adorable.
I've seen the plates used like this before...really something unusual and very pretty.
Standing on tip toes...very precious indeed! And the plate fence is cute. Enjoy your week sweet friend. Hugs, Diane
Judy, Who doesn't love a little blonde haired boy ? I always thought if I had a son he would be blonde as my children's father was blonde. But I had girls. LOL. Two were blondes. :) I think you would win a prize for the most unusual little fence picture ever. Those plates made me smile. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
I find water mesmerizing as well Judy...what a cutie pie!! And that plate fence...very unusual.
Hahaha the plate fence is quite funny and interesting for me but it's very creative :)
Have a great day from sunny Budapest
Judy, loved the old barn and the newer one. And that plate collection? What were they thinking. Have a wonderful week.
I love water too, so peaceful (when it's not flooding!). That plate fence is certainly original.
THat is an interesting....dish fence.
Love the first picture!

Love the rusted barn photo.
I chuckled when I saw the plates - that is something my Mom would have created.
Love that shot of your grandson and the fence made out of plates.
Judy, I love to see pictures of your splendid Wisconsin. This is a precious picture of your grandson. And Yes, that certainly is an eye catcher with all the plates used for a border. I've seen this before, it must be something new.
Your photos are always so real, and show the beauty of Wisconsin. Have a wonderful week, Judy.

I love the one of your grandson, and also the plate border. A person here has a small plate border around here tiny flower garden. They are so pretty!

the tippy toe image is the best, such a great capture!!!
Love your cute grandson on his tippy toes.. And the plate edger is different, I've never seen that before..Love the old barn, great series of photos.. Have a happy day and new week ahead!
You know Judy, I keep saying I'm going to do this...one post to share on multiple link-ups. Smart thinking! The #4 pic is amazing and the old gate with dishes is quite a find! Of course we can't forget about the #1 photo of that that cute li'l guy :)
Your grandson on his tip toes makes me smile! Love the scenery and barns. So happy you will have warmer weather this week. Enjoy every minute.

Dish edging---creative! As always wonderful pictures!
I love old barns and that is a big creek....the plates make a great border.
The little fellow is into zombies? Back in the 70s we watched The Night Stalker with Darren McGavin and one episode was on zombies that scared the pants off hubby and I.:-)
I like the rusty barn too and as for the collection of plates - recycling at its best I suppose, I have a few plates in my garden.
Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday Judy.
Beautiful photos. The dishes outside are interesting.
Great shot of your darling grandson. Love the rusty old barn. Happy to hear that your weather is improving.

Hi Judy! Some really neat photos! Looks quiet and peaceful there!
Your cute grandson is having a good time looking at the water!
I like the "fence" made out of old plates The barns look enormous.
Your grandson has pretty hair! Cute photo, but the first thing I noticed was his hair. :) I've seen folks use plates for flower edging, but I wonder what the shoes are for? The barns are wonderful, the old rusty-roofed barn is my favorite. Have a nice week!
Gorgeous spring views of Wisconsin. And the young boy looks so lost in some magical world. A great photo.
Love these pictures especially that little one standing on tip-toes:) Have a blessed day dear friend, HUGS!

Hi Judy, thanks for visiting me today and following along, I am now following your blog. I love old barns, I find them so interesting and often wonder about the people from years ago lived.
Hi Judy,
I love the photos.
We plan to go for a hike this Friday over by Trego.
I would love to hear one of the Zombie stories ;-)

And sweet grandson waiting for the fish to swim by.
That's a sweet photo of your grandson. Loving the barn photos. That fence with the plates is certainly different!
Judy, what a sweet plate fence. I love it!
If I were looking into that water, you can bet I would be wishing I had my rod & reel!
Love both your main barn photos...and like the collage below them.
Love all the pics but my favorite is the one of your grandson. That one needs a frame! Enjoy your week!
I love that first picture with your grandson!
Charming countryside you've shared. Other than the unusual fence lining on the one...I enjoyed immensely the collage sharing at the end of your post.
Love the first shot with the little one peeking over the fence
That plate fence is very unique. Love the shot of your grandson.
The shot of your grandson is adorable. Some nice barn scenes and the fence with the plates, different and fun.
