Last week I was having problems with Firefox, which wouldn't let me log in to my Etsy shop. I finally got advice which told me to delete all cookies from my computer, which I followed, step by step. Although it didn't solve my Firefox problem, what it did do was delete all my GFC followers from my dashboard and deleted my entire Feedly list.

I have managed to reconstruct at least a partial list, but if you are not getting usual visits from me to your blog, you'll know why. Should you wish to leave a comment, I will add you to my list of contacts once again.

I still don't know what the deal is, but have had to log in with Internet Explorer, rather than Firefox.

So here I am, being annoyed by a browser.

Fifteen years ago, I didn't even know what a browser was.

UPDATE:  For those of you have mentioned it, yes my GFC followers gadget is on my blog, but the list is not on my Blogger dashboard. I am getting my Feedly list back as you visit and I visit your blogs in return and reinstate you on Feedly. It's a real hassle. Just a warning, should you be considering deleting cookies.

Here's the latest collection of rusty stuff to share with y'all. It's funny how some things look beautiful (to me) all by themselves, but somehow, when they're sitting in the yard with other like objects, the beauty disappears and it looks like a good start on a junkyard. Today I'm going to focus on the beauty of these individual objects.  Someone once asked me to show a panorama photo of our backyard with the pond garden. I have done that, but this year because of back issues, I'll show only closeup shots. My gardener is AWOL, so I tend to have many more uninvited plants in my flowerbeds this year.

No, the dumpster is not vintage.

I think it was the green and gold that appealed to me.

I believe this was a chicken coop in its day.

I think the chickens flew the coop.

(I can hear my dad say that. In fact, I can hear my dad's voice in a lot of stuff I say. You can blame him for my silly sense of humor - and for an absolute faith in a sovereign God of love, mercy, and justice.)

Did I tell you that we have been getting regular rains and warm temps? (up until this newly-forecast Polar Vortex, that is). It's been great garden-growing weather! We had a total drencher on Saturday. It laid my petunias flat and filled the pond right up to the top of the surrounding brick!

The strawberries will need to be picked again tomorrow. I've been picking, but I know I shouldn't. It's very difficult to not pick berries.  I can let weeds grow, but letting berries ripen and spoil in the garden? That's asking too much.  The green beans are finally starting to climb the fence. The raspberries are plumping out and should be getting ripe by the second week of August.

I planted Early Girl and Brandywine tomatoes back in June. I actually see tomatoes the size of golf balls on the Early Girls. I hope they don't get discouraged by the few cooler days ahead. I'm looking forward to a bumper crop this September, so I can replenish my canned* tomato inventory. I bet I'm down to about 40 quarts. Dangerously low, in my book.

*canned:  Our daughter always wondered why they weren't referred to as 'jarred tomatoes,' since they're processed in jars. Good question, isn't it!

There were about 20 more where these came from, the ones that got thrown into the dumpster. Mr. Cranberry surprised me with these two Tiki Bowls (whatever that is), and I was about to throw them out when I decided to look them up on Ebay. One was selling for $399 and another for $280. You're kidding??  They're about 8 inches across and sit on that greenish pedestal, hula dancers and palm trees, and they have a volcano in the center. One reads 'Orchids of Hawaii I 94' and 'Japan' on the bottom. The other, newer looking one has China written on the bottom.  It's amazing what is left behind on a demo site, what manages to escape the dumpster, and most of all, what is considered collectible.

This is just about the color I want to paint a white ex-hospital wardrobe to put in our youngest (married) son's ex-bedroom. The walls are a very pale hue of the same color, so I think this, along with a brushed on (or brushed over) rust or light brown color might look nice. I'm sure I can find that color in an Annie Sloan chalk paint, right?

Vintage brick schoolhouse.

Someone's planning on visiting one of Wisconsin's 15,000 lakes.
(and just remember that bit of info next time you see a Minnesota, land of 10,000 lakes, license plate)

Up until the mid-1950s, there was a country school house about every two miles. In about 1956, the country schools consolidated with the town schools, ostensibly to save money. We know how that's  worked out. Anyway, some of the buildings have since been turned into living quarters. Some tastefully, some not. Others have disappeared from the landscape altogether. I've always thought it would be great to live in an old schoolhouse and keep it looking like a schoolhouse, with maybe one wall (the one not seen from the road) being mostly glass, looking out onto a garden with bird feeders and a few sheep. In case one becomes available, we're ready with the 30-some chalk boards and a library full of books. (And no, I don't really have any intention of moving.)

I thought I'd start with the OSHA-approved gas can.  Do you get the feeling that these people sit in their offices and dream of ways to make our lives more complicated??!!  Do you remember the days when all you had to do was easily take the cap off the nozzle and pour gasoline into the lawn mower - the days when we were expected to simply be responsible and not stupid? (And this one isn't as bad as some I've seen!)

I have always liked trains. Maybe it stems from those days when I was a kid, and would ride my bike down to the bridge to watch the Blueberry Train go under the bridge.

Whatever else it is, it is beastly heavy. I can't figure out if it is for various letterheads or what. Got any ideas? OR, if it were yours, what would you do with the thing. I know that you're a very creative bunch, so I thought I'd ask, (and 'Pitch it' is an acceptable answer. I won't be offended.) :-)
