Chocolate Almond Delight - SOAP

This is my Chocolate-Almond Delight Cold Process Soap, two colors of soap swirled together. Actually, this soap has an amazing quality almond fragrance, and besides the all-natural base oils, I stirred Ghiradelli dark chocolate into part of it at trace. Surprisingly, I didn't just eat the whole bar after opening it! Then came the marbling effect.

It's hard not to get carried away swirling the two soaps together at this point! This soap has cured for 5 weeks, sitting on shelves in our bedroom, where I turned it every day for the first few weeks. It truly smells good enough to eat!

(The difference in colors between the two photos above is that the first was taken in natural light, the second taken with flash. The first one is truer to the actual color. The second photo was taken when the soap logs were just turned out of the mold, with one log sliced into bars. This is so much fun!)

I recently got my new crinkle cutter in the mail from Amazon.com, so with the next batch of soap, I was able to add an interesting touch to the bars as I sliced them off the soap logs. This new batch is named 'Pure & Simple Fragrance Free,' for it has no fragrance or essential oils, made especially for those who want a handcrafted, quality bar of soap, but may be sensitive to fragrances. 'Pure & Simple Fragrance Free' is just a nice white hunk of soap that's good for your skin!

It's taking me longer than I had hoped, but I should soon have my Soap'n'Such site up and running with a shopping cart, so check back often! I will be sure to announce it on Cranberry Morning. And I'm going to have frequent giveaways, so don't miss that!
